Well it works for me. Then again we get "shirty" about certain things so trousers are not out of place in the vernacular. Maybe we could extend it to other items of clothing like:
"That meal was real scarf."
"I'm feeling quite fedora today."

You must think it is strange when people say "keep your pants on" if they are what I think. Or when they say "he puts his pants on one leg at a time" that is silly anyway, because really what's he supposed to do -jump in with both feet? _________________ Cal |

Theres also a saying "don't get your knickers in a twist "...meaning don't get all worked up and aggitated.  |
